Senior Pipeline TD
Industrial Brothers is seeking a Senior Pipeline TD to immediately help build, optimize, and support our animation pipelines across 3D and 2D productions, with a strong focus on Adobe Animate (formerly Flash). We are specifically seeking a CG pipeline professional with hands-on experience designing and supporting a professional Animate-based production pipeline.

What You'll Do
- Build tools that matter (3D + 2D): Design, develop, and maintain custom software solutions that directly support 3D animation workflows (rigging, rendering, asset management, delivery) as well as core tools and automation for our Adobe Animate pipeline.
- Own key systems: Drive development of pipeline infrastructure around our core 3D tools (Maya, Houdini, USD), render farm (Deadline), and production tracking systems while also owning and improving our Animate-based 2D production workflow.
- Adobe Animate pipeline leadership: Establish, refine, and support a scalable Animate pipeline including file/version management, publishing, scene validation, asset handoff, and integration with tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely: Partner with 3D and 2D animators, riggers, lighters, compositors, IT, and production teams to identify pain points and deliver practical, artist-friendly solutions.
- Immediate production support: Work directly with active show teams to deploy tools, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across both 3D and 2D workflows.
- Mentor when needed: Share knowledge with junior TDs and artists, and step into leadership on specific initiatives as opportunities arise.
- Stay ahead of the curve: Explore emerging technologies relevant to animation pipelines (USD, real-time engines like Unreal or Unity, AI-assisted workflows) and recommend strategic adoption where appropriate.
What You Bring
- Strong communicator who translates technical solutions into clear, artist-friendly tools and workflows.
- Experience with additional 2D tools such as Toon Boom Harmony, CelAction, or After Effects is a strong plus.
- Proven CG pipeline development experience for animation production environments.
- Direct, hands-on experience building or supporting a professional Adobe Animate (Flash) pipeline is required.
- Advanced Python and Java Script skills
- Solid Git workflow knowledge
- Experience integrating pipelines with ShotGrid, Deadline, and studio production tracking systems.
- Practical problem-solver who thrives on making artists’ lives easier with minimal overhead.
- Self-motivated individual contributor who can move quickly, work independently, and deliver under active production schedules.
Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Animation, or equivalent hands-on production experience.
- 5+ years building animation pipelines for 3D, 2D, or hybrid studio environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting episodic animation productions, especially in fast-paced TV pipelines.
- Previous mentorship, project leadership, or small-team coordination experience is a plus.
