Storyboard Revisionist
Description
We are looking for a storyboard revisionist to join the team on one of our 2D animated series. Under the supervision of the Director and Storyboard Supervisor, the Storyboard Revisionist is responsible for implementing the revisions to the episodic storyboards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions to revise board panels as per the Director’s and Storyboard Supervisor’s notes, from preliminary to final leica/animatic edition
- Strong understanding of staging, blocking, composition, and design
- Ability to translate story ideas into visual sequences
- Solutions-focused, and able to solve story problems, provide fixes
- Ensure quality and style of the show is consistently achieved.
- Be comfortable drawing in a loose gestural style to meet all deadlines, while still maintaining clear storytelling and quality standards
- Participate in the story workshop(s) involving the entire story team (storyboard artist, board supervisor, revision team, director, and story editor)
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3+ years professional storyboard revision experience
- Portfolio must include 2D storyboard samples clearly created for preschool content, showcasing age-appropriate pacing, staging, and character performance
- Solid knowledge of storytelling principles and techniques, including acting, posing, dialogue, dramatic/comedic timing, and use of camera
- Ability to receive constructive feedback in a professional and positive manner
- Excellent drawing and composition skills
- Proficiency in Storyboard Pro digital software
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to deliver work on schedule
